New Broadband LIDAR for Greenhouse Carbon Dioxide Gas Sensing in the Earth's Atmosphere

چکیده
We present airborne measurements of a novel eye-safe spectrally broadband LIDAR capable of dealing with the atmospherically-induccd variations in CO2 absorption using a Fabry-Perot based detector. The Fabry-Perot solid etalon in the receiver part is tuned to match the wavelength of several CO2 absorption lines simultaneously. The broadband technique tremendously reduces the requirement for source wavelength stability, instead putting this responsibility on the FabryPerot based receiver. The instrument technology we are developing has a clear pathway to space and realistic potential to become a robust, low risk space measurement system.

Spontaneous Adsorption, and Selective Sensing of CO, and CO2 Greenhouse Gaseous Species by the more Stable Forms of N4B4 Clusters
Carbon oxide gaseous species are potentially considered as pollutants of the atmosphere of earth; especially, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide which are of the well-known carbon oxids, play an effective role in the greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, these species could initiate or handle some chain reactions in the troposphere that lead to emergence of some secondly air pollutants which may ...

Global warming is increasing permanently, because the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is rising continuously. According to National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere was 407 ppm in June 2016 and 413 ppm in April 2017 as a last record for now. If the effects of other greenhouse gases, such as CH4, N<su...

Refineries produce about four percent of the global carbon dioxide emissions, close to one billion tons per year. Globally, the refining sector is the third largest producer of carbon dioxide after the electricity generation and cement industry. This greenhouse gases is a major cause of global warming and climate change and is a serious threat to human health and the environment. One way to redu...

An increase in the emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) from the soil surface to the atmosphere has been of worldwide concern over the last several decades. Carbon dioxide is recognized as a significant contributor to global warming and climatic change, accounting for 60% of total greenhouse effect. The aim of this research was to dete...
متن کاملAtmospheric CO2: principal control knob governing Earth's temperature.
Ample physical evidence shows that carbon dioxide (CO(2)) is the single most important climate-relevant greenhouse gas in Earth's atmosphere. This is because CO(2), like ozone, N(2)O, CH(4), and chlorofluorocarbons, does not condense and precipitate from the atmosphere at current climate temperatures, whereas water vapor can and does. Noncondensing greenhouse gases, which account for 25% of the...
